<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">ऐसे
ताकि वो किसी फंक्शन में अच्छे दिख सकें (want to look smart or
beautiful in functions) या उनकी पुरानी ड्रेस फिट (want to fit in old
diets in market about weight loss) लगी हुई है।</span></div>
<span data-mce-style="color: #0000ff;" style="color: blue;"><a data-mce-href="http://nuskhe.in/%e0%a4%85%e0%a4%97%e0%a4%b0-%e0%a4%85%e0%a4%aa%e0%a4%a8%e0%a5%87-%e0%a4%b2%e0%a4%bf%e0%a4%b5%e0%a4%b0-%e0%a4%95%e0%a5%8b-%e0%a4%b0%e0%a4%96%e0%a4%a8%e0%a4%be-%e0%a4%b9%e0%a5%88-%e0%a4%b8%e0%a4%be/" data-mce-style="color: #0000ff;" href="http://nuskhe.in/%e0%a4%85%e0%a4%97%e0%a4%b0-%e0%a4%85%e0%a4%aa%e0%a4%a8%e0%a5%87-%e0%a4%b2%e0%a4%bf%e0%a4%b5%e0%a4%b0-%e0%a4%95%e0%a5%8b-%e0%a4%b0%e0%a4%96%e0%a4%a8%e0%a4%be-%e0%a4%b9%e0%a5%88-%e0%a4%b8%e0%a4%be/" style="color: blue;"><strong>यह </strong><strong>भी </strong><strong>पढ़ें :- </strong><strong>अगर </strong><strong>अपने </strong><strong>लिवर </strong><strong>को </strong><strong>रखना </strong><strong>है </strong><strong>साफ </strong><strong>तो </strong><strong>खाइये </strong><strong>यह </strong><strong>फूड</strong></a></span><br />
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">वजन
कम करने के नाम पर बहुत प्रकार की खाद्य सामग्री को पेश किया (presenting
health diets) जा रहा है जो कि स्वास्थ्य के लिए ठीक है लेकिन क्या ये
वाकई में कारगर (but, does this effective) होते हैं| ये जानलेवा हो सकते
हैं (this can be dangerous) क्योंकि इन्हें व्यक्ति विशेष और उसकी
जरूरतों के हिसाब से नहीं (not made for individual) बल्कि सम्पूर्ण तरीके
long time) में लगे रहते हैं उनका कोई पैटर्न नहीं होता है (no pattern of
anything) पर वो कोशिश में जुटे होते है कि वजन कम हो जाएं। ऐसे लोग सिर्फ
असफलता का शिकार (victim of failure) होते हैं।</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">अगर
आप सही तरीके से ट्रेनिंग नहीं लते हैं (not taking proper training) तो
वजन कभी भी कम नहीं होगा। वजन को कम करने के लिए, व्यक्ति को सबसे पहले
अपने शरीर को स्वस्थ बनाना होगा (have to make body healthy) और उसे
मजबूती प्रदान करनी होगी।</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">अंडा,
मसूर की दाल, बादाम, मछली का का सेवन शरीर को गठीला बना देता है (these
things made body strong) और वजन को कम करने में मदद करता है क्योंकि ये
खाद्य सामग्री आपको इतनी ऊर्जा दे देती हैं (gives so much energy) कि आप
डाइट पर कंट्रोल (to control on diet) भी कर सकते हैं। वजन घटाने के लिए
प्रोटीन का सेवन सबसे ज्यादा फायदेमंद (protein is good for loosing
weight) होता है। </span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">अगर
आप इन बातों और बताई गई खुराक का ध्यान नहीं रखेंगे (if you dont care
these things) तो आपको वजन कम करने में कभी भी सफलता (you cant loose your
weight) नहीं मिलेगी।</span></div>

के ये प्रयोग मोटापे के लिए काल साबित होगा।</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">

<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">आइये जाने- lets know this.<br /> </span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">हर
</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">जीरा
</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">और
</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">मैदे
से बनी हुयी वस्तुओ से परहेज (avoid maida products) करें। मीठा और चीनी
मोटापे में ज़हर (sweet and sugar is poison) के समान हैं।
</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">शीघ्र
</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: justify;" style="text-align: justify;">
<span data-mce-style="font-size: 12pt;" style="font-size: 12pt;">दोपहर
</span></div>

<li>“For most of life, nothing wonderful happens. If you don’t enjoy
getting up and working and finishing your work and sitting down to a

very happy. If someone bases his/her happiness on major events like a

<div class="entry-content">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I’m sure you’ll find at least one or two that do just that among these suggestions.</div>
1. Make a deal with yourself. Good for overcoming procrastination and
getting things done. You can make the deal small or large. You simple
tell yourself something like: When I’m done with this chapter/these
reports I can take a walk in the park and enjoy an ice-cream.<br />
2. Act like it. If you don’t feel motivated or enthusiastic then act
like it. The strange thing is that within a few minutes you actually
start to feel motivated or enthusiastic for real.<br />
3. Ask uplifting questions in the morning. Here’s what you do; every
morning ask yourself five empowering three-part questions this way:<br />
What am I ______ about in my life right now?<br />
What about it makes me _______?<br />
How does it make me feel?<br />
<span id="more-780"></span><br />
Put in your own value in the blank space. For instance, a couple of my questions are:<br />
What am I happy about in my life right now?<br />
What am I excited about in my life right now?<br />
It’s important that you really feel how it makes you feel. When I
think about the last part about what makes me happy right now I really
feel it. These morning questions are great because the way they are set
up makes you recognize things you take for granted and then they really
get you to feel those positive feelings.<br />
4. Move the goalposts. Set a large and specific goal. This will
motivate you much more than small goals. A big goal has a big effect and
can create a lot of motivation.<br />
5. Do something small and create a flow. Just clean your desk. Or pay
your bills. Or wash the dishes. You just need to get started. When you
have finished that small task you’ll feel more alert and ready to go do
the next thing. You just to get started to get motivated. So if you
really don’t feel like doing anything, start with something small and
work your way out up.<br />
6. Do the toughest task first. This will ease a lot of your
day-to-day worries and boost your self-confidence for the rest of the
day. Read more about doing the hardest task bright and early right here.<br />
7. Start slow. Instead of jumping into something at full speed start
slow. When you do that your mind will not visualize the task as
something hard that you have to do fast, fast, fast. If your mind sees
such things guess what often happens? Yep, you don’t get started.
Actually getting started, even if it’s at a slow pace, is a whole lot
better than not getting started at all.<br />
8. Compare yourself with yourself. Not with others. Comparing what
you have and your results to what other people have and have
accomplished can really kill your motivation. There are always people
ahead of you. Most likely quite a bit of people. And a few of them are
miles ahead. So focus on you. On your results. And how you can and have
improved them.<br />
Reviewing your results is important so you see where you have gone
wrong in the past to avoid similar missteps further on. But it’s also
important because it’s a great motivator to see how much you have
improved and how far you have come. Often you can be pleasantly
surprised when you do such a review.<br />
9. Remember your successes. And let them flow through your mind
instead of your failures. Write down your successes. Consider using a
journal of some kind since it’s easy to forget your successes.<br />
10. Act like your heroes. Read about them, watch them, listen to
them. Discover what they did that was special and what made them tick.
But remember that they are people just like us. So let them inspire you
instead of looking up at them admiringly.<br />
11. Remember to have fun. Or create fun in a task. Then you’ll stay motivated to do and finish it.<br />
12. Get out of your comfort zone. Face your challenges to get a real
boost of motivation. If you are holding yourself back have a look at 5
Life-Changing Keys to Overcoming Your Fear and the methods in this
article. They can help you get started and take that first scary step
outside your comfort zone.<br />
13. Don’t fear failure. Instead redefine it as feedback and as a natural part of a successful life. As Michael Jordan said:<br />
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300
games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and
missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is
why I succeed.”<br />
Also, try to find the valuable lesson(s) in each of your failures. Ask yourself: What can I learn from this?<br />
14. Do some research on what you are about to do. Then your
expectations will be more grounded in reality and you can also get good
hints on what difficulties that you might run into along the way.
Managing your expectations can lower the often almost explosive initial
enthusiasm. But it can also lessen the lack of motivation that usually
follows when most of that enthusiasm has dissipated.<br />
When you know what has happened to others in similar situations –
what path they have walked – you can adapt and try their solutions (and
personal variations of those) and your own. This makes the worries and
challenges easier to handle. Both emotionally – since you know at least
some of the things that will happen and that others have lived through
it before – and practically.<br />
15. Figure out why you´re doing something. If you don’t know or
don’t have good enough reason to do something then it will be hard to
get it done. Do things that you have really strong reasons to do. If you
want to do something then figure out a good reason to do it. If you
can’t find one consider dropping it and doing something that you have a
good reason to do instead.<br />
16. Write down your goals and reasons for working towards them. Tape
them on your wall, computer or bathroom mirror. Then you’ll be reminded
throughout the day and it becomes easier to stay on track and stay
focused.<br />
17. Take The Positivity Challenge! Learn to think more positively
most of the time. Learn to let to go of negative threads of thought
before they have a chance to take hold of you. You might not be able to
be positive all the time no matter what happens. But I think most of us
can improve on our positive thinking and the results it can lead us to.
Perhaps more than you realize right now.<br />
18. Cut down on TV. Do you watch it too much? Watch less of what they
are doing in TV-land and do more of what you want to do in life.<br />
19. Break it down. Break down your task or project into small steps.
And just start with focusing on that first small step. When you are done
move on to the next and just focus on that one. The small successes
will keep your motivation up and keeping your focus away from the big
picture stops you from becoming overwhelmed and discouraged. It’s
amazing how much you can get done if you follow this simple method.<br />
20. Reprogram your information intake. Program out negative and
cynical thoughts from the media and society. Reduce your information
intake. Then program in positive news and entertainment, more of your
own thoughts and useful information such as personal growth tapes and
books. Be selective and keep it positive.<br />
21. Make use of your creativity. Take out a piece of paper. Write at
the top of the page what area in your life you would like to have more
ideas about. Perhaps you want ideas to earn more money or become a
healthier person. Then brainstorm until you have written down 20 ideas
on that topic. Then try for 10 more. Not all ideas will be good. But
some will. And as you make use of your creativity you not only discover
useful ideas. You also discover just how creative you can be if you try
and how motivating and great that feels. Have a look at 8 Ways to Spark
Your Creativity for more ideas on this topic.<br />
22. Find out what makes you happy. Then do that. As much as you want or can.<br />
23. Listen while you’re on the move. Build your own small library of
motivational/personal development tapes. Listen to them while you are
driving, riding the bus or your bike, while you are out running or
walking. Take a peek at my recommended personal development products if
you are looking for a good place to start.<br />
24. Think outside your box. Don’t imagine the future from the box of
what you have now. Just because your mind is in box of previous
experiences doesn’t mean that´s the limits of the world. Your
possibilities are much larger. Create the future from the now and from
nothing rather than your past to experience bigger changes with fewer
limitations than you would if you created it from what you can see from
your box.<br />
25. Make each day count. We don’t have all the time in the world. So focus on today and do the things you really want to do.<br />

<div class="entry-content">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.”<br />
Marcus Aurelius</div>
“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”<br />
Marcel Proust<br />
Circumstances can certainly make life unhappy. But a part – often a
big part – of unhappiness comes from our own thinking, behavior and
habits.<br />
In this article I’d like to share 7 of the most destructive daily
habits that can create quite a bit of unhappiness within and in your own
little world.<br />
But I’ll also share what has worked, what has helped me to minimize or overcome these habits in my life.<br />
1. Aiming for perfection.<br />
Does life has to be perfect before you are happy?<br />
Do you have to behave in a perfect way and get perfect results to be happy?<br />
Then happiness will not be easy to find. Setting the bar for your
performance at an inhuman level usually leads to low self-esteem and
feeling like you are not good enough even though you may have had a lot
of good or excellent results. You and what you do is never enough good
enough except maybe once in a while when feels like something goes just
perfect.<br />
<span id="more-776"></span><br />
How to overcome this habit:<br />
Three things that helped me to kick the perfectionism habit and become more relaxed:<br />
Go for good enough. Aiming for perfection usually winds up in a
project or something else never being finished. So go for good enough
instead. Don’t use it as an excuse to slack off. But simply realize that
there is something called good enough and when you are there then you
are finished with whatever you are doing.<br />
Have a deadline. I set deadlines every time that start with a new
premium guide. Because about a year ago, when I was working on my second
e-book, I realized that just working on it and releasing it when it was
done would not work. Because I could always find stuff to add to it. So
I had to set a deadline. Setting a deadline gave me a kick in the butt
and it is generally good way to help you to let go of a need to polish
things a bit too much.<br />
Realize what it costs you when you buy into myths of perfection. This
was a very powerful reason for me to let go of perfectionism and one I
tell myself still if I find thoughts of perfection pop up in my mind. By
watching too many movies, listening to too many songs and just taking
in what the world is telling you it is very easy to be lulled into
dreams of perfection. It sounds so good and wonderful and you want it.<br />
But in real life it clashes with reality and tends to cause much
suffering and stress within you and in the people around you. It can
harm or possibly lead you to end relationships, jobs, projects etc. just
because your expectations are out of this world. I find it very helpful
to remind myself of this simple fact.<br />
2. Living in a sea of negative voices.<br />
No one is an island. Who we socialize with, what we read, watch and listen to has big effect on how we feel and think.<br />
It becomes a lot harder to be happier if you let yourself be dragged
down by negative voices. Voices that tell you that life will in large
part always be unhappy, dangerous and filled with fear and limits.
Voices that watch life from a negative perspective.<br />
How to overcome this habit:<br />
Replacing those negative voices with more positive influences is very powerful. It can be like a whole new world opening up.<br />
So spend more time with positive people, inspiring music and books,
movies and TV-shows that make you laugh and think about life in a new
way.<br />
You can start small. For example, try reading an uplifting blog or
book or listen to an audio book while eating your breakfast one morning
this week instead of reading the paper or watching the morning news on
TV.<br />
3. Getting stuck in the past and future too much.<br />
Spending much of your time in the past and reliving old painful
memories, conflicts, missed opportunities and so on can hurt whole lot.
Spending much of your time in the future and imagining how things could
go wrong at work, in your relationships and with your health can build
into horrifying nightmare scenarios playing over and over in your head.
Not being here right now in life as it happens can lead to missing out
on a lot of wonderful experiences.<br />
No good if you want to be happier.<br />
How to overcome this habit:<br />
It is pretty much impossible to not think about the past or the
future. And it is of course important to plan for tomorrow and next year
and to try to learn from your past.<br />
But to dwell on those things rarely help.<br />
So I try as best as I can to spend the rest of my time, the big part
of my time each day, with living in the now. Just being here right now
and being fully focused on these words I am writing and later as I cook
and eat my lunch and work out be fully focused on doing that.<br />
Whatever I am doing I try to be there fully and not drift off into the future or past.<br />
If I do drift off then I focus only on my breathing for a few minutes
or I sit still and take in what is all around me right now with all my
senses for a short while. By doing either of those things I can realign
myself with the present moment again.<br />
4. Comparing yourself and your life to others and their lives.<br />
One very common and destructive daily habit is to constantly compare
your life and yourself to other people and their lives. You compare
cars, houses, jobs, shoes, money, relationships, social popularity and
so on. And at the end of the day you pummel your self-esteem to the
ground and you create a lot of negative feelings.<br />
How to overcome this habit:<br />
Replace that destructive habit with two other habits.<br />
Compare yourself to yourself. First, instead of comparing yourself to
other people create the habit of comparing yourself to yourself. See
how much you have grown, what you have achieved and what progress you
have made towards your goals. This habit has the benefit of creating
gratitude, appreciation and kindness towards yourself as you observe how
far you have come, the obstacles you have overcome and the good stuff
you have done.<br />
You feel good about yourself without having to think less of other people.<br />
Be kind. In my experience, the way you behave and think towards others
seems to have a big, big effect on how you behave towards yourself and
think about yourself. Judge and criticize people more and you tend to
judge and criticize yourself more (often almost automatically). Be more
kind to other people and help them and you tend to be more kind and
helpful to yourself.<br />
Focus on the positive things in yourself and in the people around you.
Appreciate what is positive in yourself and others. This way you become
more OK with yourself and the people in your world instead of ranking
them and yourself and creating differences in your mind.<br />
And remember, you can’t win if you keep comparing. Just consciously
realizing this can be helpful. No matter what you do you can pretty much
always find someone else in the world that has more than you or are
better than you at something.<br />
5. Focusing on the negative details in life.<br />
Seeing the negative aspects of whichever situation you are in and
dwelling on those details is a sure way to make yourself unhappy. And to
drag down the mood for everyone around you.<br />
How to overcome this habit:<br />
Overcoming this habit can be tricky. One thing that has worked for me
is to kick the perfectionism habit. You accept that things and
situations will have their upsides and downsides rather than thinking
that all details have to positive and excellent. You accept things as
they are. This way you can let go emotionally and mentally of what is
negative instead of dwelling on it and making mountains out of
molehills.<br />
Another thing that works is simply to focus on being constructive.
Instead of focusing on dwelling and whining about the negative detail.
You can do so by asking better questions. Questions like:<br />
How can I turn this negative thing into something helpful or positive?<br />
How can I solve this problem?<br />
If I am faced with what I start thinking is a problem I may use a
third solution, I may ask myself: who cares? I most often then realize
that this isn’t really a problem in the long run at all.<br />
6. Limiting life because you believe the world revolves around you.<br />
If you think that the world revolves around you and you hold yourself
back because you are afraid what people may think or say if you do
something that different or new then you are putting some big limits on
your life. How?<br />
Well, you can become less open to trying new things and growing.You
can think that the criticism and negativity you encounter is about you
or that it is your fault all the time (while it in reality could be
about the other person having bad week or you thinking that you can read
minds). I have also found that my own shyness used to come from me
thinking that people cared a great deal about what I was about to say or
do.<br />
How to overcome this habit:<br />
Realize people don’t care too much about what you do. They have their
hands full with worrying about their own lives and what people may
think of them instead. Yes, this might make you feel less important in
your own head. But it also sets you free a bit more if you’d like that.<br />
Focus outward. Instead of thinking about yourself and how people may
perceive you all the time, focus outward on the people around you.
Listen to them and help them. This will help you to raise your
self-esteem and help you to reduce that self-centered focus.<br />
7. Overcomplicating life.<br />
Life can be pretty complicated. This can creates stress and
unhappiness. But much of this is often created by us. Yes, the world may
be becoming more complex but that doesn’t mean that we cannot create
new habits that make your own lives a bit simpler.<br />
How to overcome this habit:<br />
Overcomplicating life can involve many habits but I’d like to suggest
a few replacement habits to what have been a couple of my own most
overcomplicating habits.<br />
Splitting your focus and having your attention all over the place in
everyday life. I replaced that complicating habit with just doing one
thing at a time during my day, having a small to-do list with 2-3 very
important items and writing down my most important goal on white board
that I see each day.<br />
Having too much stuff. I replaced that habit with regularly asking
myself: have I used this in the past year? If not then I will give that
thing away or throw it away.<br />
Creating relationship problems of any kind in your mind. Reading minds
is hard. So, instead ask questions and communicate. This will help you
to minimize unnecessary conflicts, misunderstandings, negativity and
waste or time and energy.<br />
Getting lost in the in-box. I spend less time and energy on my email
in-box by just checking it once a day and writing shorter emails (if
possible not more than 5 sentences.)<br />
Getting lost in stress and overwhelm. When stressed, lost in a problem
or the past or future in your mind then, as I mentioned above, breathe
with your belly for two minutes and just focus on the air going in and
out. This will calm your body down and bring your mind back into the
present moment again. Then you can start focusing on doing what is most
important for you again.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
URL redirection, also called URL
forwarding, is a World Wide Web technique for making a web page
available under more than one URL address. When a web browser attempts
to open a URL that has been redirected, a page with a different URL is
opened. For example, www.example.com is redirected to example.iana.org.
Similarly, Domain redirection or domain forwarding is when all pages in a
URL domain are redirected to a different domain, as when wikipedia.com
and wikipedia.net are automatically redirected to wikipedia.org. URL
redirection can be used for URL shortening, to prevent broken links when
web pages are moved, to allow multiple domain names belonging to the
same owner to refer to a single web site, to guide navigation into and
out of a website, for privacy protection, and for less innocuous
purposes such as phishing attacks.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Purposes</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are several reasons to use URL redirection :</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Similar domain names</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A
user might mis-type a URL—for example, "example.com" and "exmaple.com".
Organizations often register these "mis-spelled" domains and re-direct
them to the "correct" location: example.com. The addresses example.com
and example.net could both redirect to a single domain, or web page,
such as example.org. This technique is often used to "reserve" other
top-level domains (TLD) with the same name, or make it easier for a true
".edu" or ".net" to redirect to a more recognizable ".com" domain.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Moving pages to a new domain</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Web pages may be redirected to a new domain for three reasons:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• a site might desire, or need, to change its domain name;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• an author might move his or her individual pages to a new domain;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• two web sites might merge.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With
URL redirects, incoming links to an outdated URL can be sent to the
correct location. These links might be from other sites that have not
realized that there is a change or from bookmarks/favorites that users
have saved in their browsers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
same applies to search engines. They often have the older/outdated
domain names and links in their database and will send search users to
these old URLs. By using a "moved permanently" redirect to the new URL,
visitors will still end up at the correct page. Also, in the next search
engine pass, the search engine should detect and use the newer URL.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Logging outgoing links</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
access logs of most web servers keep detailed information about where
visitors came from and how they browsed the hosted site. They do not,
however, log which links visitors left by. This is because the visitor's
browser has no need to communicate with the original server when the
visitor clicks on an outgoing link.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This
information can be captured in several ways. One way involves URL
redirection. Instead of sending the visitor straight to the other site,
links on the site can direct to a URL on the original website's domain
that automatically redirects to the real target. This technique bears
the downside of the delay caused by the additional request to the
original website's server. As this added request will leave a trace in
the server log, revealing exactly which link was followed, it can also
be a privacy issue.[1]</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The same
technique is also used by some corporate websites to implement a
statement that the subsequent content is at another site, and therefore
not necessarily affiliated with the corporation. In such scenarios,
displaying the warning causes an additional delay.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Short aliases for long URLs</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Main article: URL shortening</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Web
applications often include lengthy descriptive attributes in their URLs
which represent data hierarchies, command structures, transaction paths
and session information. This practice results in a URL that is
aesthetically unpleasant and difficult to remember, and which may not
fit within the size limitations of microblogging sites. URL shortening
services provide a solution to this problem by redirecting a user to a
longer URL from a shorter one.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Meaningful, persistent aliases for long or changing URLs</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
See also: Permalink, PURL, and Link rot</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Sometimes
the URL of a page changes even though the content stays the same.
Therefore URL redirection can help users who have bookmarks. This is
routinely done on Wikipedia whenever a page is renamed.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Post/Redirect/Get</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Main article: Post/Redirect/Get</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Post/Redirect/Get
(PRG) is a web development design pattern that prevents some duplicate
form submissions, creating a more intuitive interface for user agents
(users).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Manipulating search engines</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Redirect
techniques are used to fool search engines. For example, one page could
show popular search terms to search engines but redirect the visitors
to a different target page. There are also cases where redirects have
been used to "steal" the page rank of one popular page and use it for a
different page, They will also redirect using searches with search
engines as searches, usually involving the 302 HTTP status code of
"moved temporarily."[2][3]</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Search engine providers have noticed the problem and are working on appropriate actions[citation needed].</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As a result, today, such manipulations usually result in less rather than more site exposure.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Manipulating visitors</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
URL
redirection is sometimes used as a part of phishing attacks that
confuse visitors about which web site they are visiting[citation
needed]. Because modern browsers always show the real URL in the address
bar, the threat is lessened. However, redirects can also take you to
sites that will otherwise attempt to attack in other ways. For example, a
redirect might take a user to a site that would attempt to trick them
into downloading antivirus software and, ironically, installing a trojan
of some sort instead.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Removing referer information</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When
a link is clicked, the browser sends along in the HTTP request a field
called referer which indicates the source of the link. This field is
populated with the URL of the current web page, and will end up in the
logs of the server serving the external link. Since sensitive pages may
have sensitive URLs (for example,
http://company.com/plans-for-the-next-release-of-our-product), it is not
desirable for the referer URL to leave the organization. A redirection
page that performs referrer hiding could be embedded in all external
URLs, transforming for example http://externalsite.com/page into
http://redirect.company.com/http://externalsite.com/page. This technique
also eliminates other potentially sensitive information from the
referer URL, such as the session ID, and can reduce the chance of
phishing by indicating to the end user that they passed a clear gateway
to another site.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Techniques</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Several
different kinds of response to the browser will result in a
redirection. These vary in whether they affect HTTP headers or HTML
content. The techniques used typically depend on the role of the person
implementing it and their access to different parts of the system. For
example, a web author with no control over the headers might use a
Refresh meta tag whereas a web server administrator redirecting all
pages on a site is more likely to use server configuration.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Manual redirect</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The simplest technique is to ask the visitor to follow a link to the new page, usually using an HTML anchor like:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Please follow <a href="http://www.example.com/">this link</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This
method is often used as a fall-back — if the browser does not support
the automatic redirect, the visitor can still reach the target document
by following the link.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
HTTP status codes 3xx</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In
the HTTP protocol used by the World Wide Web, a redirect is a response
with a status code beginning with 3 that causes a browser to display a
different page. The different codes describe the reason for the
redirect, which allows for the correct subsequent action (such as
changing links in the case of code 301, a permanent change of address).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The HTTP standard defines several status codes for redirection:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• 300 multiple choices (e.g. offer different languages)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• 301 moved permanently</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• 302 found (originally temporary redirect, but now commonly used to specify redirection for unspecified reason)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• 303 see other (e.g. for results of cgi-scripts)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• 307 temporary redirect</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All
of these status codes require that the URL of the redirect target be
given in the Location: header of the HTTP response. The 300 multiple
choices will usually list all choices in the body of the message and
show the default choice in the Location: header.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
(Status codes 304 not modified and 305 use proxy are not redirects).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
An HTTP response with the 301 "moved permanently" redirect looks like this:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Location: http://www.example.org/</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Content-Type: text/html</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Content-Length: 174</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<html></html></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<head></head></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<title>Moved</title></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<body></body></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h1>
Moved</h1>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This page has moved to <a href="http://www.example.org/">http://www.example.org/</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Using server-side scripting for redirection</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Web
authors producing HTML content can't usually create redirects using
HTTP headers as these are generated automatically by the web server
program when serving an HTML file. The same is usually true even for
programmers writing CGI scripts, though some servers allow scripts to
add custom headers (e.g. by enabling "non-parsed-headers"). Many web
servers will generate a 3xx status code if a script outputs a
"Location:" header line. For example, in PHP, one can use the "header"
function:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
header('HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently');</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
header('Location: http://www.example.com/');</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
exit();</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
(More headers may be required to prevent caching[4]).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
programmer must ensure that the headers are output before the body.
This may not fit easily with the natural flow of control through the
code. To help with this, some frameworks for server-side content
generation can buffer the body data. In the ASP scripting language, this
can also be accomplished using response.buffer=true and
response.redirect "http://www.example.com/"</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
While
the HTTP protocol says the URI in a Location header must be
absolute,[5] most browsers tolerate relative URIs though some display a
warning to the user.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Apache mod_rewrite</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
Apache HTTP Server's mod_alias extension can be used to redirect
certain requests. Typical configuration directives look like:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Redirect permanent /oldpage.html http://www.example.com/newpage.html</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Redirect 301 /oldpage.html http://www.example.com/newpage.html</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For
more flexible URL rewriting and redirection, Apache mod_rewrite can be
used. E.g. to redirect a requests to a canonical domain name:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
RewriteEngine on</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^([^.:]+\.)*oldsite\.example\.com\.?(:[0-9]*)?$ [NC]</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://newsite.example.net/$1 [R=301,L]</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Such
configuration can be applied to one or all sites on the server through
the server configuration files or to a single content directory through a
.htaccess file.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Refresh Meta tag and HTTP refresh header</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Netscape
introduced the meta refresh feature which refreshes a page after a
certain amount of time. This can specify a new URL to replace one page
with another. This is supported by most web browsers. See</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• HTML tag</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
• An exploration of dynamic documents</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A
timeout of zero seconds effects an immediate redirect. This is treated
like a 301 permanent redirect by Google, allowing transfer of PageRank
to the target page.[6]</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is an example of a simple HTML document that uses this technique:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<html></html></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<head></head></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<body></body></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Please follow <a href="http://www.example.com/">this link</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This
technique can be used by web authors because the meta tag is contained
inside the document itself. The meta tag must be placed in the "head"
section of the HTML file. The number "0" in this example may be replaced
by another number to achieve a delay of that many seconds. The anchor
in the "body" section is for users whose browsers do not support this
feature.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The same effect can be achieved with an HTTP refresh header:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
HTTP/1.1 200 ok</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Refresh: 0; url=http://www.example.com/</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Content-type: text/html</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Content-length: 78</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Please follow <a href="http://www.example.com/">this link</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This response is easier to generate by CGI programs because one does not need to change the default status code.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here is a simple CGI program that effects this redirect:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
#!/usr/bin/perl</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
print "Refresh: 0; url=http://www.example.com/\r\n";</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
print "Content-type: text/html\r\n";</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
print "\r\n";</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
print "Please follow <a href="http://www.blogger.com/%5C" http:="" www.example.com="">this link</a>!"</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Note: Usually, the HTTP server adds the status line and the Content-length header automatically.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
W3C discourage the use of meta refresh, since it does not communicate
any information about either the original or new resource, to the
browser (or search engine). The W3C's Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines (7.4) discourage the creation of auto-refreshing pages, since
most web browsers do not allow the user to disable or control the
refresh rate. Some articles that they have written on the issue include
W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (1.0): Ensure user control of
time-sensitive content changes, Use standard redirects: don't break the
back button! and Core Techniques for Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines 1.0 section 7.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
JavaScript redirects</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
JavaScript can cause a redirect by setting the window.location attribute, e.g.:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
window.location='http://www.example.com/'</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Normally
JavaScript pushes the redirector site's URL to the browser's history.
It can cause redirect loops when users hit the back button. With the
following command you can prevent this type of behaviour. [7]</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
window.location.replace('http://www.example.com/')</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
However,
HTTP headers or the refresh meta tag may be preferred for security
reasons and because JavaScript will not be executed by some browsers and
many web crawlers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Frame redirects</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A slightly different effect can be achieved by creating a single HTML frame that contains the target page:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<frameset rows="100%"></frameset></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<frame src="http://www.example.com/"></frame></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<noframes></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<body>Please follow <a href="http://www.example.com/">link</a>!</body></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
</noframes></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One
main difference to the above redirect methods is that for a frame
redirect, the browser displays the URL of the frame document and not the
URL of the target page in the URL bar.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This
cloaking technique may be used so that the reader sees a more memorable
URL or to fraudulently conceal a phishing site as part of website
spoofing.[8]</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Redirect chains</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One
redirect may lead to another. For example, the URL
http://www.wikipedia.com/wiki/URL_redirection (note the domain name) is
first redirected to http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/URL_redirection and
then to the correct URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/URL_redirection.
This is unavoidable if the different links in the chain are served by
different servers though it should be minimised by rewriting the URL as
much as possible on the server before returning it to the browser as a
redirect.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Redirect loops</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Sometimes
a mistake can cause a page to end up redirecting back to itself,
possibly via other pages, leading to an infinite sequence of redirects.
Browsers should stop redirecting after a certain number of hops and
display an error message.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The HTTP standard states:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A
client should detect infinite redirection loops, since such loops
generate network traffic for each redirection. Previous versions of this
specification recommended a maximum of five redirections; some clients
may exist that implement such a fixed limitation.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Note
that the URLs in the sequence might not repeat, e.g.:
http://www.example.com/1 -> http://www.example.com/2 ->
http://www.example.com/3 ...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Services</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There
exist services that can perform URL redirection on demand, with no need
for technical work or access to the web server your site is hosted on.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
URL redirection services</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A
redirect service is an information management system, which provides an
internet link that redirects users to the desired content. The typical
benefit to the user is the use of a memorable domain name, and a
reduction in the length of the URL or web address. A redirecting link
can also be used as a permanent address for content that frequently
changes hosts, similarly to the Domain Name System.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hyperlinks
involving URL redirection services are frequently used in spam messages
directed at blogs and wikis. Thus, one way to reduce spam is to reject
all edits and comments containing hyperlinks to known URL redirection
services; however, this will also remove legitimate edits and comments
and may not be an effective method to reduce spam.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Recently, URL redirection services have taken to using AJAX as an efficient, user friendly method for creating shortened URLs.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A major drawback of some URL redirection services is the use of delay pages, or frame based advertising, to generate revenue.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
History</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
first redirect services took advantage of top-level domains (TLD) such
as ".to" (Tonga), ".at" (Austria) and ".is" (Iceland). Their goal was to
make memorable URLs. The first mainstream redirect service was V3.com
that boasted 4 million users at its peak in 2000. V3.com success was
attributed to having a wide variety of short memorable domains including
"r.im", "go.to", "i.am", "come.to" and "start.at". V3.com was acquired
by FortuneCity.com, a large free web hosting company, in early 1999. In
2001 emerged .tk (Tokelau) as a TLD used for memorable names.[9] As the
sales price of top level domains started falling from $70.00 per year to
less than $10.00, use of redirection services declined.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With
the launch of TinyURL in 2002 a new kind of redirecting service was
born, namely URL shortening. Their goal was to make long URLs short, to
be able to post them on internet forums. Since 2006, with the 140
character limit on the extremely popular Twitter service, these short
URL services have been heavily used.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Referrer Masking</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Redirection
services can hide the referrer by placing an intermediate page between
the page the link is on and its destination. Although these are
conceptually similar to other URL redirection services, they serve a
different purpose, and they rarely attempt to shorten or obfuscate the
destination URL (as their only intended side-effect is to hide referrer
information and provide a clear gateway between other websites.)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This
type of redirection is often used to prevent potentially-malicious
links from gaining information using the referrer, for example a session
ID in the query string. Many large community websites use link
redirection on external links to lessen the chance of an exploit that
could be used to steal account information, as well as make it clear
when a user is leaving a service, to lessen the chance of effective
phishing .</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here is a simplistic example of such a service, written in PHP.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
$url = htmlspecialchars($_GET['url']);</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
header( 'Refresh: 0; url=http://'.$url );</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
?></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<!-- Fallback using meta refresh. --></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<html></html></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<title>Redirecting...</title></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Attempting to redirect to <a href="http://</?php%20echo%20$url;%20?%3E">http://</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Please
note that the above example does not check who called it (e.g. by
referrer, although that could be spoofed). Also, it does not check the
url provided. This means that a malicious person could link to the
redirection page using a url parameter of his/her own selection, from
any page, which uses the web server's resources.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
The invention of the
electroencephalograph allowed scientists to study sleep in ways that
were not previously possible. During the 1950s, a gradate student named
Eugene Aserinsky used this tool to discover what is known today as REM
sleep. Further studies of human sleep have demonstrated that sleep
progresses through a series of stages in which different brain wave
patterns are displayed.<br />There are two main types of sleep:<br />Non-Rapid Eye Movement (NREM) Sleep (also known asquiet sleep<br />Rapid Eye Movement (REM) Sleep (also known as active sleep or paradoxical sleep<br />The Beginnings of Sleep<br />During
the earliest phases of sleep, you are still relatively awake and alert.
The brain produces what are known as beta waves, which are small and
fast. As the brain begins to relax and slow down, slower waves known as
alpha waves are produced. During this time when you are not quite
asleep, you may experience strange and extremely vivid sensations known
as hypnagogic hallucinations. Common examples of this phenomenon include
feeling like you are falling or hearing someone call your name.<br />Another
very common event during this period is known as a myoclonic jerk. If
you've ever startled suddenly for seemingly no reason at all, then you
have experienced this odd phenomenon. While it may seem unusual, these
myoclonic jerks are actually quite common.<br />Stage 1<br />Stage 1 is the
beginning of the sleep cycle, and is a relatively light stage of sleep.
Stage 1 can be considered a transition period between wakefulness and
sleep. In Stage 1, the brain produces high amplitude theta waves, which
are very slow brain waves. This period of sleep lasts only a brief time
(around 5-10 minutes). If you awaken someone during this stage, they
might report that they weren't really asleep.<br />Stage 2<br />Stage 2 is
the second stage of sleep and lasts for approximately 20 minutes. The
brain begins to produce bursts of rapid, rhythmic brain wave activity
known as sleep spindles. Body temperature starts to decrease and heart
rate begins to slow.<br />Stage 3<br />Deep, slow brain waves known as delta
waves begin to emerge during stage 3 sleep. Stage 3 is a transitional
period between light sleep and a very deep sleep.<br />Stage 4<br />Stage 4
is sometimes referred to as delta sleep because of the slow brain waves
known as delta waves that occur during this time. Stage 4 is a deep
sleep that lasts for approximately 30 minutes. Bed-wetting and
sleepwalking are most likely to occur at the end of stage 4 sleep.<br />Stage 5<br />Most
dreaming occurs during the fifth stage of sleep, known as rapid eye
movement (REM) sleep. REM sleep is characterized by eye movement,
increased respiration rate and increased brain activity. REM sleep is
also referred to as paradoxical sleep because while the brain and other
body systems become more active, muscles become more relaxed. Dreaming
occurs due because of increased brain activity, but voluntary muscles
become paralyzed.<br />The Sequence of Sleep Stages<br />It is important to
realize, however, that sleep does not progress through these stages in
sequence. Sleep begins in stage 1 and progresses into stages 2, 3 and 4.
After stage 4 sleep, stage 3 and then stage 2 sleep are repeated before
entering REM sleep. Once REM sleep is over, the body usually returns to
stage 2 sleep. Sleep cycles through these stages approximately four or
five times throughout the night.<br />On average, we enter the REM stage
approximately 90 minutes after falling asleep. The first cycle of REM
sleep might last only a short amount of time, but each cycle becomes
longer. REM sleep can last up to an hour as sleep progresses.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
On July 20, 1973, Lee had been working
on a film called Game of Death. While attending a dinner, he began to
have headaches. He took a painkiller that he was allergic to, and died
the next morning. At this time, the filming of Game of Death was only
partially finished. The movie's producers decided to use the pieces of
the film already shot, and combine them with new footage of other
actors. <br />To explain this, the producers filmed at Bruce Lee's actual
funeral, to write into the story that he faked his death. That way, all
of the fill ins would have a logical reason to wear disguises, still
maintaining the impression it was the same character. In addition, to
make the death credible, they set up a scene with a cardboard cutout of
Bruce Lee glued to a mirror. Even crazier, the producers made a SEQUEL
starring Bruce Lee, using more unused footage.<br />The inventor of the snapshot camera committed suicide. <br />His
name was George Eastman. He was the inventor of the first Kodak
snapshot camera. You might recognize the name he gave to it: the Kodak
camera. In addition to being one of the first brand names invented from
nonsense syllables, it also sparked a photographic revolution that is
still strong today.<br />He was able to simplify the photography process
and create a product that everyone was able to use. He also pioneered a
system in which employees of the company got dividends, essentially
making them part-owners of the company. Sadly, when he was 77, he had
spinal stenosis, which is a narrowing of the spinal canal. The pain for
him was pretty big.<br />He decided to commit suicide by shooting himself
in the heart. He left a short and simple note: "To my friends: My work
is done. Why wait?"<br />A lion’s roar can be heard 5 miles away! <br />A
lion’s roar is one of the loudest noises any animal on Earth can make.
It is so loud that it can be heard over five miles away from the lion!
Scientists have been doing research on the immense sound lion’s emit and
have discovered that the reason its loud isn’t because of lung
capacity.<br />It’s actually because they have an unusual set of vocal
cords which allow them to produce a noise that is both hard and heavy at
the same time, all with hardly using the respiratory system. These
vocal cords contain two membranes which are covered in a peculiar layer
of fat that allow the vocal cords to vibrate horizontally, magnifying
the sound! <br />Carrots do not give you better night vision. <br />The myth was spread around by British forces trying to hide the radar! <br /><br />Lack
of Vitamin A can worsen your night vision. However, it is an urban
legend that eating a lot of carrots will allow you to have superhuman
night vision. Here's the crazy story of how this rumor became so
widespread.<br />Between July 10 and October 31st 1940, Germany attacked
the United Kingdom in what was called the Battle of Britain. It was the
first major battle to be entirely fought in the air. Germany wanted to
destroy the British air defenses and get them to surrender. However, the
British were able to defend themselves quite effectively thanks in a
large part because new Radar techniques had been discovered. Radar was
such an advantage, that the Royal Air Force wanted to keep it a complete
secret. The solution? Carrots.<br />During World War II, British gunners
spread the rumor that eating tons of carrots was what allowed them to
shoot down German planes in the darkness of night. They were trying to
cover up any discovery of the radar they had in their hands. The rumor
proved somewhat successful as it reinforced German folklore. It also
encouraged Britons to improve their night vision by growing and eating
more carrots. <br /><br />Pinball used to be illegal! <br />Pinball’s origins
can be traced back thousands of years to ancients playing similar games
on grass with rolling stones. The modern pinball game that would
commonly come to mind was popularized in the 1700’s with the
introduction of the spring launcher. By the 1930’s pinball was one of
the most popular games in the world and one of the bestselling.<br />However,
this would all have to be put on pause as gambling laws began to become
much more strict. In New York City, pinball bans were particularly
stringent. Beginning in the early 1940’s until 1976 no pinball machine
was allowed in the city. Mayor Fiorello La Guardai was behind the ban
because he believed the game robbed school children of their hard earned
change.<br />La Guardia would enact raids throughout the city. If a
pinball machine was found police, and the mayor himself, would stand in
the street and destroy them with sledgehammers and dump the remains in
the rivers.<br />The ban was not removed until a man named Roger Sharpe
testified that pinball took skill and was not linkable to gambling. He
reportedly played a game in the courtroom and the jury was so stunned by
his skill that they voted to remove the ban! <br /><br />Stethoscopes were invented so doctors could avoid having to put their ears against women's chests. <br />In
1816, René Laennec, a French physician, was visited by an overweight
young woman with heart issues. He was having trouble diagnosing her
using his hand to feel her heartbeat. Because of her age and sex, he did
not want to place his ear against her chest. <br /><br />Knowing that
putting an ear to an object allows the ear to hear noises affecting the
other side, he rolled up a sheet of paper into a tube and pressed it
against the patient's heart. As he suspected, it allowed him to hear her
heart much better. After years of development, the modern telescope was
finally invented in 1851. <br />Coco Chanel was a Nazi spy! <br />The woman is one of the most influential French fashion designers & she is the founder of the famous fashion brand Chanel. <br />She
started her own brand, which is still relevant and wildly successful
until today. However, she also led a double life as a Nazi spy!<br />Documents
show that she committed herself to the German cause as early as 1941.
She became a paid agent of the SS intelligence. She was involved in a
plan that tried to negotiate with Churchill in order for England to
cease hostilities with Germany.<br />When the war was over, she was
interrogated by the Free French Purge Committee. They had no documented
evidence of her collaboration with the Nazis. She was let go. She also
later said that Churchil had helped her. "Churchill had me freed," she
said.</div>

<b>A married couple is <b>traveling</b> by car from Victoria to Prince George.<br /> <br />
Being seniors, after almost eleven hours on the road, they were too
tired to continue and decided to take a room. But, they only planned to
sleep for four hours and then get back on the road.<br /> <br /> When they checked out four hours later, the desk clerk handed them a bill for $350.00.<br /> <br />
The man explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He told
the clerk although it's a nice hotel; the rooms certainly aren't worth
$350.00 for four hours. Then the clerk tells him that $350.00 is the
'standard rate'. He insisted on speaking to the Manager.<br /> <br /> The
Manager appears, listens to him, and then explains that the hotel has an
Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference centre that were available for
us to use.<br /> <br /> "But we didn't use them," the husband said.<br /> <br /> "Well, they are here, and you could have," explained the Manager.<br /> <br />
The Manager went on to explain that the couple could also have taken in
one of the shows for which the hotel is famous. "We have the best
entertainers from New York , Hollywood , and Las Vegas perform here,"
the Manager says.<br /> <br /> "But we didn't go to any of those shows," the husband said.<br /> <br /> "Well, we have them, and you could have," the Manager replied.<br /> <br /> No matter what amenity the Manager mentioned, the husband replied, "But we didn't use it!"<br /> <br />
The Manager is unmoved, and eventually the husband gave up and agreed
to pay. As he didn't have the check book, he asked his wife to write the
check.<br /> She did and gave it to the Manager.<br /> <br /> The Manager is surprised when he looks at the check. "But ma'am, this is made out for only $50.00."<br /> <br /> "That's correct. I charged you $300.00 for sleeping with me," she replied.<br /> <br /> "But I didn't!" exclaims the Manager.<br /> <br /> "Well, too bad, I was here, and you could have."<br /> <br /> Don't mess with senior citizens..... <div style="text-align: justify;">
One young man went to apply for a
managerial position in a big company. He passed the initial interview,
and now would meet the director for the final interview.<br /> <br /> The
director discovered from his CV that the youth's academic achievements
were excellent. He asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?"
the youth answered "no".<br /> <br /> " Was it your father who paid for your school fees?"<br /> <br /> "My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.” he replied.<br /> <br /> " Where did your mother work?"<br /> <br /> "My mother worked as clothes cleaner.”<br /> <br /> The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.<br /> <br /> " Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"<br /> <br /> "Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.<br /> <br />
The director said, "I have a request. When you go home today, go and
clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.<br /> <br />
The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went
back home, he asked his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother
felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to her
son.<br /> <br /> The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear
fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's
hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands.
Some bruises were so painful that his mother winced when he touched it.<br /> <br />
This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of
hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school
fees. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother
had to pay for his education, his school activities and his future.<br /> <br /> After cleaning his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.<br /> <br /> That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.<br /> <br /> Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.<br /> <br />
The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, when he asked: "Can
you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"<br /> <br /> The youth answered," I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'<br /> <br />
“I know now what appreciation is. Without my mother, I would not be who
I am today. By helping my mother, only now do I realize how difficult
and tough it is to get something done on your own. And I have come to
appreciate the importance and value of helping one’s family.<br /> <br />
The director said, "This is what I am looking for in a manager. I want
to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who
knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who
would not put money as his only goal in life.”<br /> <br /> “You are hired.”<br /> <br />
This young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his
subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and worked as a team. The
company's performance improved tremendously.<br /> <br /> A child, who has
been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop an
"entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first. He would be
ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that
every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would
never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame
others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, they may
be successful for a while, but eventually they would not feel a sense of
achievement. They will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for
more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing
love or are we destroying our children instead?<br /> <br /> You can let
your child live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch on a
big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them
experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls
together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not
have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a
right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents
are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that
young person. The most important thing is your child learns how to
appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the
ability to work with others to get things done.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Today I want to share nine inspiring
quotes that changed my life. I’ve listed them below along with
supplementary lessons I’ve learned about each one over the years. I
hope they inspire you just as they have inspired me.</div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
1. Intuition</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“At
times you have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the
wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful.
What you’ll discover is yourself.” -Alan Alda</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Your
intuition is a gift. It is your third eye – a way of seeing with your
soul. Pay attention to what it shows you. More often than you realize,
you have the answers you seek already inside you. Your unconscious
mind is the greatest source of your genius; you just have to pay
attention.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Trusting your intuition is
trusting your true self, and the more you trust your true self, the
more control you have of making your goals and dreams come true. <a data-mce-href="http://www.marcandangel.com/book/" href="http://www.marcandangel.com/book/" title="1,000 Little Things Happy, Successful People Do Differently"><em>Read 1,000 Little Things.</em></a></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
2. Responsibility</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“In
the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process
never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own
responsibility.” -Eleanor Roosevelt</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Don’t
blame your parents, your friends, your teachers, your boss, or anyone
else. Blame yourself and then do something about it. If something
isn’t right and needs to change in your life, you’re the only one who
can make that change.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The trajectory of your life is directly proportional to <a data-mce-href="http://www.marcandangel.com/2013/01/18/10-choices-you-will-regret-in-10-years/" href="http://www.marcandangel.com/2013/01/18/10-choices-you-will-regret-in-10-years/" title="10 Choices You Will Regret in 10 Years">the strength of your choices</a>.
To say you have no choice is to relieve yourself of all the
responsibility and control you have over your life, which is another way
of saying, “I don’t care. I give up.”</div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
3. Expectation</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.” -Alexander Pope</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As
you get older you will find that life isn’t necessarily any easier or
harder than you thought it was going to be; it’s just that the easy and
the hard aren’t exactly the way you had anticipated, and don’t always
occur when you expect them to. This isn’t a bad thing; it makes life
interesting. With a positive attitude you will always be pleasantly
surprised.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When you stop expecting
things to be a certain way, you can appreciate them for what they are.
Ultimately you will realize that life’s greatest gifts are rarely
wrapped the way you expected. <em>Read <a data-mce-href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1878424114/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1878424114&linkCode=as2&tag=marandang-20" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1878424114/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1878424114&linkCode=as2&tag=marandang-20">The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success</a><img alt="" border="0" data-mce-src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=marandang-20&l=as2&o=1&a=1878424114" height="1" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=marandang-20&l=as2&o=1&a=1878424114" width="1" />.</em></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
4. Small Steps</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” -Desmond Tutu</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All
the skills and understanding necessary for achievement will not be
fully available to you when you first start a new endeavor. But once
you start, you will build the necessary skills and understanding as you
need them.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Do not overwhelm yourself
by thinking about the entire project. Instead, focus on the one
particular action step you can take right now. Give your best to the
task at hand. Build what you can with what you have, and as you acquire
additional resources, build upon what you have already built. <em>Read <a data-mce-href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0743537262/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0743537262&linkCode=as2&tag=marandang-20" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0743537262/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0743537262&linkCode=as2&tag=marandang-20">How to Get What You Want</a><img alt="" border="0" data-mce-src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=marandang-20&l=as2&o=1&a=0743537262" height="1" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=marandang-20&l=as2&o=1&a=0743537262" width="1" />.</em></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
5. Questions vs. Answers</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers.” -Voltaire</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Life
is filled with unanswered questions, but it is the courage to ask
enough of the right ones that ultimately leads you to an understanding
of yourself and your purpose.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can
spend your life wallowing in sorrow by asking negative questions like,
“Why me?” Or you can be grateful that you survived – that you’re still
strong enough to breathe, walk and think for yourself – and then ask,
“Where do I want to go next?”</div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
6. Focus</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“Whenever
you want to achieve something, keep your eyes open, concentrate and
make sure you know exactly what it is you want. No one can hit their
target with their eyes closed.” -Paulo Coelho</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Raindrops
falling gently over a wide, sprawling area will always yield to the
obstructions present in the landscape. Yet when these raindrops are
concentrated into the mighty force of a river, they have the power to
cut through nearly any obstruction imaginable.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In the same way, when your thoughts, feelings and actions are concentrated on <a data-mce-href="http://www.marcandangel.com/2013/01/07/8-ways-to-simplify-the-pursuit-of-happiness/" href="http://www.marcandangel.com/2013/01/07/8-ways-to-simplify-the-pursuit-of-happiness/" title="8 Ways to Simplify the Pursuit of Happiness">a clear and consistent purpose</a>,
nothing can hold you back. The roadblocks standing in your way are no
match for your focused, unwavering purpose. Give your life a decided
advantage over all the obstacles you encounter by living each moment in
the service of a meaningful purpose.</div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
7. Relationships</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“Indifference and neglect often do much more damage than outright dislike.” -J.K. Rowling</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When
it comes to relationships, be careful not to continuously doubt the
positives and ignore the negatives. You likely do this more often than
you think. For instance, you will say to your partner dozens of times:
Do you really love me? Are you sure? And ask similar questions that
doubt the existence of their love. But you will rarely ask: Does this
upset you? Are you sure? And similar questions that have the potential
to resolve conflict before it starts.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This
imbalance creates tension on both sides of the equation. The positive
things become more burdensome while the negatives fester in the
background, unresolved. Bottom line: Have faith in the positives as
you work on turning the negatives around. <em>Read <a data-mce-href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0802473156/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0802473156&linkCode=as2&tag=marandang-20" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0802473156/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0802473156&linkCode=as2&tag=marandang-20">The 5 Love Languages</a><img alt="" border="0" data-mce-src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=marandang-20&l=as2&o=1&a=0802473156" height="1" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=marandang-20&l=as2&o=1&a=0802473156" width="1" />.</em></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
8. Humility</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“On the highest throne in the world, we still sit only on our own bottom.” -Michel de Montaigne</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If
you become impressed with your own importance, you will cease to be
impressive regardless of how successful you are. Anyone who must
announce that they are great rarely is.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
True
greatness and admiration is earned when you spend your time listening
and learning rather than boasting and preening. Let go of the need to
be better than anyone else. Humility is a virtue that will carry you
far. When you free yourself from the crushing demands of your ego, you
free yourself to be your very best.</div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
9. Life Experience</h3>
<blockquote>
<em>“Good judgment comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgment.” -Rita Mae Brown</em></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Experience
is what you get when your plans don’t go as planned, and experience is
the most valuable commodity you own – it builds your strength.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You have the power to turn your wounds and worries into wisdom; you just have to <a data-mce-href="http://www.marcandangel.com/2012/04/05/keep-you-motivated-after-a-mistake/" href="http://www.marcandangel.com/2012/04/05/keep-you-motivated-after-a-mistake/" title="12 Truths to Tell Yourself After a Mistake or Failure">do something about them</a>.
You have to accept what has happened and use what you’ve learned to
step forward. Everything you’ve experienced has given you the upper
hand for dealing with everything you have yet to experience. Realize
this and set yourself free.</div>

<div align="center" style="text-align: justify;">
<i>We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.<br /> - Aristotle </i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Scientists
have suggested that, with a little willpower, it takes roughly 30 days
for a person to form a new habit. As with mastering anything new, the
act of starting and getting beyond the preliminary stage where
everything feels awkward is 80% of the battle. This is precisely why
it’s important to make small, positive changes every day over the course
of at least a 30 day period.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It’s
like the old saying: “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a
time.” The same philosophy holds true for making changes in your life.
Trying to bite off more than you can chew will only make you choke.
But taking smaller, manageable bites, one at a time – eating a little
healthier, exercising a little, creating some simple productive habits,
for example – is an amazing way to make positive changes and get excited
about life.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And when you start small
like this, you won’t need a lot of motivation either. The simple act
of getting started and doing something will give you the momentum you
need, and soon you’ll find yourself in a positive spiral of changes –
one building on the other. When I started doing this in my life, I was
so excited about it that I started this blog to share it with the world.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Below
you will find 30 challenges to be accomplished over the course of 30
days. If carried out diligently each of them has the potential to
create a new positive habit in your life. Yes, there is some slight
overlap between a few of them. And no, you don’t have to attempt all at
once. Pick 2 to 5 and commit the next 30 days, wholeheartedly, to
successfully completing the challenge. Then once you feel comfortable
with these habits, challenge yourself with a few more the following
month.</div>
<ol start="1" style="text-align: justify;">
<li><b>Use words that encourage happiness.</b>
– Typically, when I ask someone “How are you?” they reply, “I’m fine”
or “I’m okay.” But one lazy Monday afternoon last month a new colleague
of mine replied, “Oh, I am fabulous!” It made me smile, so I asked him
what was making him feel so fabulous and he said, “I’m healthy, my
family is healthy, and we live in a free country. So I don’t have any
reason not to be happy.” The difference was simply his attitude and his
choice of words. He wasn’t necessarily any better off than anyone
else, but he seemed twenty times happier. Spend the next 30 days using
words that encourage a smile.</li>
<li><b>Try one new thing every day.</b>
– Variety truly is the spice of life. You can see or do something a
million times, but you can only see or do it for the first time once.
As a result, first time experiences often leave reflective marks in our
minds for the rest of our lives. Make an effort to try something new
every day for the next 30 days. It can be a whole new activity or just a
small experience, such as talking to a stranger. Once you get the ball
rolling many of these new experiences will open doors to life changing
opportunities.</li>
<li><b>Perform one selfless act every day.</b> – In
life, you get what you put in. When you make a positive impact in
someone else’s life, you also make a positive impact in your own life.
Do something that’s greater than you, something that helps someone else
be happy or suffer less. I promise, it will be an extremely rewarding
experience. One you’ll likely remember forever. Obviously your options
here are limitless, but if you’re looking to assist an ordinary person
in need without leaving your chair, check out <a data-mce-href="http://www.gofundme.com/donate-online/?aff=marcandangel" href="http://www.gofundme.com/donate-online/?aff=marcandangel" title="Make a small donation to someone in need.">GoFundMe</a>.</li>
<li><b>Learn and practice one new skill every day.</b>
– Self-reliance is a vital key to living a healthy, productive life.
To be self-reliant one must master a basic set of skills, more or less
making them a jack of all trades. Contrary to what you may have learned
in school, a jack of all trades is far more equipped to deal with life
than a specialized master of only one. And besides, learning new skills
is fun. Check out this article, this article, and this book.</li>
<li><b>Teach someone something new every day.</b>
– We all have natural strengths and talents that can dramatically help
those around us. What comes easy for you is no doubt challenging for
others. We tend to take these gifts for granted, often hardly noticing
what we have to offer, and thus we rarely share them with others. Inner
happiness and zeal come from using these inherent gifts on a routine
basis. What do people thank you for? What do people routinely ask for
your help with? Most people’s passions and talents help others in one
way or another. Perhaps for you it’s painting, teaching math, cooking a
good meal or leading an exercise class. For the next 30 days devote
some time each day to sharing your talents and expertise.</li>
<li><b>Dedicate an hour a day to something you’re passionate about.</b>
– Take part in something you passionately believe in. This could be
anything. Some people take an active role in their city council, some
find refuge in religious faith, some join social clubs supporting causes
they believe in and others find passion in their hobbies. In each case
the psychological outcome is the same. They engage themselves in
something they strongly believe in. This engagement brings happiness
and meaning into their lives. <i>Read Stumbling on Happiness</i><i>.</i></li>
<li><b>Treat everyone nicely, even those who are rude to you.</b>
– Being nice to someone you dislike doesn’t mean you’re fake. It means
you’re mature enough to control your emotions. Treat everyone with
kindness and respect, even those who are rude to you – not because
they’re nice, but because you are. Do this for 30 days and I guarantee
you’ll see the rudeness around you dissipate.</li>
<li><b>Concentrate on being positive at all times.</b>
– The real winners in life cultivate optimism. They have the ability
to manufacture their own happiness and drive. No matter what the
situation, the successful diva is the chick who will always find a way
to put an optimistic spin on it. She knows failure only as an
opportunity to grow and learn a new lesson from life. People who think
optimistically see the world as a place packed with endless
opportunities, especially in trying times. Try to spend the next 30
days looking at the bright side of things.</li>
<li><b>Address and acknowledge the lesson in inconvenient situations.</b>
– It’s important to remember that everything is a life lesson.
Everyone you meet, everything you encounter, etc. They’re all part of
the learning experience we call ‘life.’ Never forget to acknowledge the
lesson, especially when things don’t go your way. If you don’t get a
job you wanted or a relationship doesn’t work, it only means something
better is out there waiting. And the lesson you just learned is the
first step toward it. Over the next 30 days keep a written log of all
the lessons life taught you.</li>
<li><b>Pay attention and enjoy your life as it happens.</b>
– When I watched the Academy Awards a few months ago I realized that
most of the speeches actors and actresses make when they accept an award
go something like this: “This means so much so me. My whole life has
been leading up to this moment.” But the truth is, our whole lives have
been leading up to every moment. Think about that for a second. Every
single thing you’ve gone through in life, every high, every low and
everything in between, it has led you to this moment right now. Ask
yourself this: How much of life are you actually living? If you’re
like most people, the answer is likely: “Not enough.” The key is to
concentrate on a little less on doing and a little more on being.
Remember, right now is the only moment guaranteed to you. Right now is
life. Spend the next 30 days living in the now, for real.</li>
<li><b>Get rid of one thing a day for 30 days.</b>
– We have so much clutter surrounding us at any given moment (at the
office, in our cars, in our homes) and we’ve become so accustomed to it
that we no longer notice how it affects us. If you start cleaning up
some of this external clutter, a lot of internal clutter will disappear
as well. Choose one needless item each and every day and get rid of
it. It’s that simple. It might be difficult at first, so expect some
resistance. But after some time you will begin to learn to let go of
your packrat tendencies, and your mind will thank you for your efforts.</li>
<li><b>Create something brand new in 30 days or less. </b>–
Creation is a process like none other. Putting to use your innovative
faculties and constructing something with your own two hands will leave
you with an indescribable sense of wholeness. There is no substitute
for it. The only caveat is that it must be related to something you
actually care about. If you are creating financial plans for clients
all day and you hate it, that doesn’t really count. But if you can find
something you love, and create something related to it, it will make
all the difference in your life. If you haven’t created something in a
while just for the sake of creating, do so. Take the next 30 days and
let your creativity run wild.</li>
<li><b>Don’t tell a single lie for 30 days.</b>
– With all the seemingly innocent, white lies that trickle out of us,
this is way harder than it sounds. But you can do it. Stop deceiving
yourself and others, speak from the heart, speak the whole truth.</li>
<li><b>Wake up 30 minutes early every morning.</b>
– Get up 30 minutes earlier than usual so you don’t have to rush around
like a mad man. That 30 minutes will help you avoid speeding tickets,
tardiness and other unnecessary headaches. Give it a legitimate try for
30 days straight and see how it impacts your life.</li>
<li><b>Ditch 3 bad habits for 30 days.</b>
– Do you eat too much fast food? Do you play too many video games? Do
you argue with your siblings? You know some of your bad habits. Pick 3
and quit doing them for 30 days. Period.</li>
<li><b>Watch less than 30 minutes of TV every day.</b>
– Entertain yourself with real-world experiences. Great memories are
the product of interesting life experiences. So turn off the television
(or the computer if that’s how you watch your TV programs) and get
outdoors. Interact with the world, appreciate nature, take notice of
the simple pleasures life has to offer, and just watch as life unfolds
in front of you.</li>
<li><b>Define one long-term goal and work on it for an hour every day.</b>
– Break your goal down into bite-sized pieces and focus on achieving
each one piece at a time. It really is all about taking baby steps, and
taking the first step is often the hardest. Spend an hour every day
for the next 30 days working toward something you’ve always wanted to
accomplish. Take a small dream and make it a reality. <i>Read Getting Things Done</i><i>.</i></li>
<li><b>Read one chapter of a good book every day.</b>
– With the Web’s endless stream of informative, easy-to-skim textual
snippets and collaborative written works, people are spending more and
more time reading online. Nevertheless, the Web cannot replace the
authoritative wisdom from certain classic books that have delivered (or
will deliver) profound ideas around the globe for generations. Books
open doors, in your mind and in your life. Read an online book list and
find a good book to grab at the library today. Then spend the next 30
days reading at least one chapter a day until you reach the end. Here’s
another book list. And another. And another.</li>
<li><b>Every morning, watch or read something that inspires you.</b>
– Sometimes all you need is a little pep talk. For the next 30 days,
before you eat breakfast, or leave the house, watch a motivational video
or read something (quotation, blog post, short story, etc.) that
inspires you.</li>
<li><b>Do something every day after lunch that makes you laugh.</b>
– Watch a funny video clip on YouTube, read your favorite comic strip,
or find a good joke online. A good chuckle stimulates the mind and can
give you a renewed level on energy. The best time for this laugh is
during the lull in the mid-afternoon, when you need it most.</li>
<li><b>Go alcohol and drug free for 30 days.</b>
– This challenge depends on your individual circumstance. If you are a
heavy user of alcohol or a particular drug it is not recommended that
you quit cold turkey. You need to see a physician and ease off of the
substance slowly. But if you are a casual user, quit right now for 30
days. If you’re looking for a natural energy boosting alternative to a
substance, check out <i>50 Natural Ways To Boost Your Energy.</i></li>
<li><b>Exercise for 30 minutes every day for 30 days.</b> – Your health is your life. Don’t let it go. Eat right, exercise and get an annual physical check-up. <i> The 4-Hour Body</i><i> </i>is an insightful and entertaining read on this topic.</li>
<li><b>Get uncomfortable and face a fear every day.</b>
– With a strategy of continuous small steps into uncomfortable
territory we are often able to sidestep the biggest barrier to positive
change: Fear. Sometimes we’re afraid we’ll fail. Sometimes we’re
subconsciously afraid we’ll succeed and then we’d have to deal with all
the disruption (growth) and change that follows success. And other
times it’s our fear of rejection or simply our fear of looking like a
fool. The best way to defeat fear is to stare it down. Connect to your
fear, feel it in your body, realize it and steadily address it. Greet
it by name if you have to: “Welcome, fear.” Fear can be a guiding
friend if you learn how to swallow it, and listen to it only when it
serves its true purpose of warning you when you are in danger. Spend an
hour every day for the next 30 day’s addressing a fear that is holding
you back.</li>
<li><b>Cook one brand new, healthy recipe every day.</b> – Cooking is fun, challenges your mind, and if done correctly, provides vital nutrients to your body. Win-Win-Win. <i>How to Cook Everything</i><i> </i>by
Mark Bittman is great tool for this challenge. Packed with 900 pages
of simple instructions on how to cook everything you could ever dream of
eating, it’s pretty much the greatest cookbook ever written. Prepare
one new, healthy recipe every day for the next 30 days.</li>
<li><b>Spend 10 minutes every evening reflecting on what went well.</b>
– For the next 30 days spend 10 minutes every evening pondering the
small successes that occurred during the course of the day. This
process of positive reflection will remind you of all the tiny blessings
in your life, and help you to celebrate your personal growth.</li>
<li><b>Have a conversation every day with someone you rarely speak to.</b>
– People are interesting creatures, and no two people are exactly
alike. Interacting with different people will open your mind to
fascinating ideas and perspectives. So for the next 30 days strike up a
conversation daily with someone you rarely speak to, or someone you’ve
never met before. Find out what makes them tick.</li>
<li><b>Pay down debt and don’t create any new debt for 30 days.</b>
– Live well below your means. Don’t buy stuff you don’t need. Sleep
on big purchases. Create a budget and savings plan and stick to them.
For the next 30 days pay for things in cash and micro-manage every cent
you make and spend. <i>Read I Will Teach You To Be Rich</i><i>.</i></li>
<li><b>Let go of one relationship that constantly hurts you.</b>
– Keep people in your life who truly love you, motivate you, encourage
you, enhance you, and make you happy. If you know people who do none of
these things, let them go and make room for new positive
relationships. Over the next 30 days, if relevant to your situation,
gradually let go of one person in your life who has been continuously
hurting you and holding you back.</li>
<li><b>Publicly forgive someone who deserves another chance.</b>
– Sometimes good relationships end abruptly because of big egos and
arguments based on isolated incidents. If there’s someone in your life
who truly deserves another chance, give it to them. If you need to
apologize too, do it. Over the next 30 days give your story together a
new chapter.</li>
<li><b>Document every day with one photograph and one paragraph.</b>
– For 30 days bring a camera with you wherever you go. Do your best to
take one photograph that represents a standout experience from each
day. Then, before you go to bed each night, write one paragraph in a
notebook or journal that highlights your day. If you do it all
digitally you can unite your daily photograph and paragraph in one
digital space (like a personal blog), which can be easily reviewed in
the future. Many moons from now these old photos and journal entries
will ignite your recollection of interesting memories you would have
otherwise forgotten.</li>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As you
progress through these challenges remember, personal growth is a slow,
steady process. It can’t be rushed. You need to work on it gradually
every day. There is ample time for you to be who you want to be in
life. Don’t settle for less than what you think you deserve, or less
than you know you can be. Despite the struggles you’ll face along the
way, never give up on yourself. You’re braver than you believe,
stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and twice as capable as
you have ever imagined.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are a lot of skills you don’t
need. You can be happy and successful without knowing how to rebuild a
car’s engine, program a web application, or replace drywall. Sure,
these are useful skills to have, but they aren’t absolutely necessary.<br /><br />There
are other skills, however, that can’t be avoided – skills that tie into
various aspects of everyday life, that are not only useful, but totally
indispensable. For instance, you can’t get far in today’s world
without being able to read or write. And today the ability use a
computer proficiently is simply assumed.<br /><br />In this article we’re
going to skip the super basic skills like reading, driving, and using a
computer, and discuss twelve slightly more advanced skills that are
woefully under-taught, and universally applicable. Let’s take a look…<br /><br />1.
Prioritizing and time management. – If success depends on effective
action, effective action depends on the ability to focus your attention
where it is needed most, when it is needed most. This is the ability to
separate the important from the unimportant, which is a much needed
skill in all walks of life, especially where there are ever increasing
opportunities and distractions.<br /><br /> 10 Time Management Tips that Work<br /> Time management and prioritization lessons from MindTools<br /> 12 Things Highly Productive People Do Differently<br /> Book: Getting Things Done<br /><br />2.
Keeping a clean, organized space. – Successful people have systems in
place to help them find what they need when they need it – they can
quickly locate the information required to support their activities.
When you’re disorganized, that extra time spent looking for a phone
number, email address or a certain file forces you to drop your focus.
Once it’s gone, it takes a while to get it back – and that’s where the
real time is wasted. Keeping both your living and working spaces
organized is crucial.<br /><br /> Decluttering Articles by Unclutterer<br /> Top 12 Organizing Tips and Resources<br /> Four Daily Routines: How I keep my house “clean enough”<br /> Book: The Joy of Less<br /><br />3.
Critical thinking and information analysis. – We are living in the
information age where, on a daily basis, we are constantly exposed to an
ever growing and rapidly changing pool of information. Being able to
evaluate this information, sort the valuable from the trivial, analyze
its relevance and meaning, and relate it to other information is a
priceless skill with universal applicability.<br /><br /> Ten Takeaway Tips for Teaching Critical Thinking<br /> A Simple Guide to Critical Thinking<br /> 10 Critical Thinking Traps and Tips<br /> Book: Thinking, Fast and Slow<br /><br />4.
Logical, informed decision making. – Decision making is simply knowing
what to do based on the information available. Being able to respond
quickly and effectively with the information you have in your head is
essential to accomplishing anything.<br /><br /> Don’t Overthink It: 5 Tips for Daily Decision-Making<br /> 13 Ways to Quickly Improve Your Decision-Making<br /> Geek to Live: Four ways to make a big decision<br /> Book: Smart Choices: A Practical Guide to Making Better Decisions<br /><br />5.
Using Google proficiently for online research. – You don’t have to know
everything, but you should be able to quickly and painlessly find out
what you need to know. Google is a gateway to nearly infinite
knowledge; it has indexed websites containing information on just about
everything and everyone. If you’re having trouble finding something
using Google, it’s time to learn a few new tricks.<br /><br /> Google Guide<br /> Google Advanced Search Operators<br /> Google Web Search Features<br /> Book: Google Hacks<br /><br />6.
Basic accounting and money management. – It’s a simple fact that our
modern society is governed by the constant exchange of money. Money
allows you to maintain a roof over your head and put food on the table
each night. Knowing how to properly manage your money – tracking and
recording your expenses and income, saving and investing – is not only
an important skill for thriving, it’s an important skill that helps you
survive.<br /><br /> 10 Steps to Making a Financial Budget<br /> How To Make a Budget that Works<br /> Quick MBA - Financial Accounting 101<br /> Book: The Total Money Makeover<br /><br />7.
Effective communication and negotiating. – Give the people in your life
the information they need rather than expecting them to know the
unknowable. Don’t try to read other people’s minds, and don’t make
other people try to read yours. Most problems, big and small, within a
family, friendship, or business relationship, start with bad
communication. Speak honestly, and then give others a voice and show
them that their words matter. And remember that compromise and
effective negotiating are vital parts of effective communication.<br /><br /> 9 Steps to Better Communication Today<br /> Win-Win Negotiation - Finding a fair compromise.<br /> Active Listening - Hear what people are really saying.<br /> Book: People Skills<br /><br />8.
Relaxation. – Stress leads to poor health, poor decision-making, poor
thinking, and poor socialization. So be attentive to your stress level
and take short breaks when you need to. Slow down. Breathe. Give
yourself permission to pause, regroup and move forward with clarity and
purpose. When you’re at your busiest, a brief recess can rejuvenate
your mind and increase your productivity. These short breaks will help
you regain your sanity, and allow you to reflect on your recent actions
so you can be sure they’re in line with your goals.<br /><br /> 10 Relaxation Techniques To Reduce Stress On-the-Spot<br /> Finding the Relaxation Exercises that Work for You<br /> 37 Stress Management Tips<br /> Book: Wherever You Go, There You Are<br /><br />9.
Proficient writing and note-taking. – The written word isn’t going
away; it is used in every walk of life. Learning to write proficiently
so that others can understand you is critical. Also, using your writing
skills to take useful notes is one of the most productive things you
can do, regardless of the task at hand. Writing things down – taking
notes – helps us remember what we hear, see, or read when we’re learning
something new, or trying to remember something specific.<br /><br /> 34 Writing Tips That Will Make You a Better Writer<br /> English Grammar 101<br /> Top 5 Note-Taking Tips<br /> Book: On Writing Well<br /><br />10.
Relationship networking. – In a world dominated by constant innovation
and information exchange, relationship networking creates the channel
through which ideas and information flow, and in which new ideas are
shared, discussed and perfected. A large relationship network,
carefully cultivated, can be leveraged to meet the right people, find
jobs, build businesses, learn about new trends, spread ideas, etc.<br /><br /> How to Network: 12 Tips for Shy People<br /> Steps to Easy Relationship Building<br /> Networking: Start Building Real Relationships<br /> Book: How to Win Friends and Influence People<br /><br />11.
Positivity. – Research shows that although we think that we act because
of the way we feel, in fact, we often feel because of the way we act. A
great attitude always leads to great experiences. People who think
optimistically see the world as a place packed with endless
opportunities, especially in trying times. Be positive, smile, and make
it count. Pretend today is going to be great. Do so, and it will be.<br /><br /> How to Be Optimistic - Focus on the Positive<br /> 10 Ways Happy People Choose Happiness<br /> Seven Simple Ways to Be More Positive<br /> Book: The How of Happiness<br /><br />12.
Self-discipline. – Self-discipline is a skill. It is the ability to
focus and overcome distractions. It involves acting according to what
you think instead of how you feel in the moment. It often requires
sacrificing the pleasure and thrill for what matters most in life.
Therefore it is self-discipline that drives you to succeed in the
long-term.<br /><br /> How to Build Self-Discipline<br /> Self-Discipline Explained and Explored<br /> 12 Things Successful People Do Differently<br /> Book: Unleash the Warrior Within<br /><br /><strong>DON'T FORGOT TO PLAY FREE ONLINE GAMES @ www.GamesWala.com</strong></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong>A Boy's Love</strong><br /><br /> On the last day before Christmas, I hurried to go to the store to buy the remaining gifts I didn't manage to buy earlier.<br /><br />When
I saw all the people there, I started to complain to myself. It is
going to take forever here and I still have so many other places to
go... Christmas really is getting more and more annoying every year. How
I wish I could just lie down, go to sleep and only wake up after it...<br /><br />Nonetheless,
I made my way to the toy section, and there I started to curse the
prices, wondering if all kids really play with such expensive toys.<br /><br />While
looking in the toy section, I noticed a small boy of about 5 years old,
pressing a doll against his chest. He kept on touching the hair of the
doll and looked so sad. I wondered who was this doll for. Then the
little boy turned to the old woman next to him and said: Granny, are you
sure I don't have enough money?<br /><br />The old lady replied: You know
that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. Then she
asked him to stay here for 5 minutes while she went to look around. She
left quickly.<br /><br />The little boy was still holding the doll in his
hand. Finally, I started to walk toward him and I asked him who did he
want to give this doll to. It is the doll that my sister loved most and
wanted so much for this Christmas. She was so sure that Santa Claus
would bring it to her.<br /><br />I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus
will bring it to her, after all, and not to worry. But he replied to me
sadly. No, Santa Claus cannot bring it to her where she is now. I have
to give the doll to my mother so that she can give it to her when she
goes there.<br /><br />His eyes were so sad while saying this.<br /><br />My
sister has gone to be with God. Daddy said that Mommy will also go to
see God very soon, so I thought that she could bring the doll with her
to give it to my sister.<br /><br />My heart nearly stopped.<br /><br />The
little boy looked up at me and said: I told daddy to tell mommy not to
go yet. I asked him to wait until I come back from the store.<br /><br />Then
he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then
told me: I also want mommy to take this photo with her so that she will
not forget me.<br /><br />I love my mommy and I wish she didn't have to leave me but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.<br /><br />Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.<br /><br />I
quickly reached for my wallet and took a few dollars out and said to
the boy. What if we checked again, just in case, to see if you have
enough money?<br /><br />OK he said. I hope that I have enough.<br /><br />I
added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count
it. There was enough for the doll, and even some spare money.<br /><br />The little boy said: Thank you God for giving me enough money.<br /><br />Then
he looked at me and added: I asked yesterday before I slept for God to
make sure I have enough money to buy this doll so that mommy can give it
to my sister. He heard me.<br /><br />I also wanted to have enough money to
buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too
much. but He gave me enough to buy the doll and the white rose. You
know, my mommy loves white roses.<br /><br />A few minutes later, the old lady came again and I left.<br /><br />I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.<br /><br />Then
I remembered a local newspaper article 2 days ago, which mentioned of a
drunk man in a truck who hit a car where there was one young lady and a
little girl.<br /><br />The little girl died right away, and the mother was
left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the
plug on the life-assisting machine, because the young lady would not be
able to get out of the coma.<br /><br />Was this the family of the little boy?<br /><br />Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young lady had passed away.<br /><br />I
couldn't stop myself and went to buy a bunch of white roses and I went
to the mortuary where the body of the young woman was exposed for people
to see before burial.<br /><br />She was there, in her coffin, holding a
beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and
the doll placed over her chest.<br /><br />I left the place crying, feeling that my life had been changed forever.<br /><br />The love that this little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.<br /><br />And in a fraction of a second, a drunk man had taken all this away from him.<br /><br /><strong>DON'T FORGOT TO PLAY FREE ONLINE GAMES @ www.GamesWala.com</strong></div>

<strong>SOME LOGICAL THOUGHTS and STATEMENTS</strong><br />
<br />Whenever you find the key to success, someone changes the lock. <br />_____ <br /><br />To Err is human, but to forgive is not a COMPANY policy. <br />_____ <br /><br />The road to success??.. Which never works. <br />_____ <br /><br />If at first you don't succeed?. Destroy all evidence that you ever tried. <br />_____ <br /><br />You can never determine which side of the bread to butter. If it falls down, it will always land on the buttered side. <br />_____ <br /><br />Anything dropped on the floor will roll over to the most inaccessible corner. <br />_____ <br /><br />42.7% of all statistics is made on the spot. <br />_____ <br /><br />As soon as you mention something?? in a queue, the other line always moves faster and the person in front
of you will always have the most complex of transactions. <br />_____ <br /><br />If you have paper, you don't have a pen. If you have a pen, you don't have paper. a long wait for bus no.20, two 20 number buses will always pull in
together and the bus which you get in will be crowded than the other. <br />_____ <br /><br />If your exam is tomorrow, there will be a power cut tonight. <br />_____ <br /><br />Irrespective of the direction of the wind, the smoke from the cigarette will always tend to go to the non-smoker<br />_____<br /><br />Before borrowing money from a friend, decide whether you need more.<br />_____<br /><br />There are three sides to every argument: your side, my side and the right side. <br />_____<br /><br />An expert is someone who takes a subject you understand and makes it sound confusing.<br />_____<br /><br />Many things can be preserved in alcohol. <div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong>AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES</strong><br />1.
If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a cup of
boiling water down your throat and presto. The blockage will be almost
instantly removed. <br /><br />2. Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away. <br /><br />3. Avoid arguments with your partner about lifting the toilet seat by simply using the sink. <br /><br />4.
For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a
few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a
timer. <br /><br />5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will
prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the
snooze button. Â <br /><br />6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives. Then you will be afraid to cough. <br /><br />7. Have a bad toothache? Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget about the toothache. <br /><br />8. Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are:<br /><br />You
only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and
should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
<br /><br />9. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. <br /><br />10. Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom. <br /><br />11. If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You get another chance. <br /><br />12. And finally, be really nice to your family and friends; you never know when you might need them to empty your bedpan. <br /><br />13.
The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is
suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best
friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.<br /><strong>DON'T FORGOT TO PLAY FREE ONLINE GAMES @ www.GamesWala.com</strong></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />A woman came out of her house and
saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did
not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be
hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."<br /><br />"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.<br /><br />"No", she replied. "He's out."<br /><br />"Then we cannot come in", they replied.<br /><br />In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.<br /><br />"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"<br /><br />The woman went out and invited the men in"<br /><br />"We do not go into a House together," they replied.<br /><br />"Why is that?" she asked.<br /><br />One
of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one
of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I
am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which
one of us you want in your home."<br /><br />The woman went in and told her
husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he
said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and
fill our home with wealth!"<br /><br />His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"<br /><br />Their
daughter was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped
in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our
home will then be filled with love!"<br /><br />"Let us heed our daughter's advice," said the husband to his wife.<br /><br />"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."<br /><br />The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."<br /><br />Love
got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up
and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only
invited Love, Why are you coming in?"<br /><br />The old men replied
together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us
would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go
with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and
Success!!!!!!"<br /><br />******<br /><strong>DON'T FORGOT TO PLAY FREE ONLINE GAMES @ www.GamesWala.com</strong></div>

This is a question that I’ve been asked by bloggers,
writers, internet marketers, entreprenuers and webmaster many-a-times: “How
long does it take for a website to start getting some organic traffic? Especially
if it’s a website that is updated with unique content regularly, and has also been
submitted to all search engines, such as Google and Bing.”<br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
This is a valid concern for many bloggers, especially those
who have just started off. However before we get to the answer to this problem,
it is important to first understand what organic traffic is, and why it is
important in the first place.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
What is Organic Traffic?</h4>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Organic traffic refers to free traffic that comes in from
search engines, such as <a href="http://google.com/">Google</a>, <a href="http://yahoo.com/">Yahoo! Search</a> and <a href="http://bing.com/">Bing</a>. It is the traffic that
you get when pages from your blog or website appear in the search results. It
is referred to as ‘organic traffic’ because it comes freely and naturally from
search engines, for instance if someone searches for a particular keyword (or a
phrase), and is redirected to a page on your blog/website from the search, you’re
getting free ‘organic’ traffic to your website.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Benefits of Organic Traffic</h4>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
As you would understand, the ability to get organic traffic
from search engines is extremely essential, as traffic from search engines is
one of the biggest sources of traffic (and revenue) for any blog out there. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
First off, organic traffic is free, and understandably, it
is highly-targeted traffic. Visitors who come on your blog from Google were
searching for a specific keyword/phrase which was related to the content on
your website. For instance if you run a blog on the NBA, and someone looks up
‘Jeremy Lin stats’ in Google, and is referred to your blog from there, you are
getting extremely targeted traffic from people who are within your website’s
niche. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
This is why all bloggers do whatever they can to get organic
traffic – search engines get you targeted traffic for free, as opposed to PPC
and other per-click, per-impression or paid advertisement campaigns.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
How to Get Organic Traffic to Your Blog</h4>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Now that we’ve defined what organic traffic really is, as
well as how beneficial it is, we come to the matter at hand: what can blogs and
websites do in order to get organic traffic? The following is a set of points
which will help you to achieve this feat: </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
1. <b>Unique Content</b>: The most important thing to be able to
get organic traffic is unique content. If you don’t have unique content on your
blog, Google will not even consider indexing your site for popular search
engine keywords and queries. Furthermore, if you blog contains a lot of copied,
plagiarized and spun content, and Google gets a whiff of it, you will in all
probability end up getting de-indexed and/or permanently banned from Google. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Google has become particularly strict with its indexing
criteria and policies, especially after the Panda update. Websites with plagiarized
content (among other things) have all been penalized. This means that these
website have stopped getting traffic from Google.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
If your blog is updated with unique, well-written,
well-researched content on a regular basis, Google will list your website for
keywords, and visitors will be referred to your blog when they search for those
keywords. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
2. <b>Provide Value, Engage your Audience</b>: It is also important
to remember that your blog exists solely for one purpose: to provide the people
with solutions/information. Provide people with valuable material, valuable
information, present them with solutions, and discover innovative ways to
engage and entertain people with your blog so that spend the maximum amount of
time on your blog reading your posts, putting up comments, and being a part of
the community. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
When people are engaged, they actually spend some time on
your blog and your bounce rate is low, Google immediately ranks your better for
your keywords. <br />
<br />
To provide value, you need to have passion for whatever you are writing about. Pat Flynn wrote an awesome post titled <a href="http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/passion-profit-online/" target="_blank">Do You Need Passion to Profit Online?</a> which really summarizes this.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
3. <b>Backlinks</b>: If you are updating your websites with unique
content on a regular basis, but you don’t have a lot of relevant backlinks,
your content might be of interest to some people, but Google probably still
won’t list it in the search results. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Without relevant backlinks, and particularly those from
authority sources, Google has no way to know how credible your information
really is.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Even if you’re getting traffic from social mediums and other
forms, having backlinks and link juice is extremely essential, especially from relevant,
authority and high-PR websites. Each backlinks counts as one vote in your favor
in the eyes of Google, the more ‘votes’ you have, the better. When Google
discovers that your blog is getting traffic from authority sources, it will try
to list you as high up as possible for your keywords. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
And unless you start getting some link juice from these
sources, you’ll never receive a large amount of organic traffic, even if you’re
putting up fresh content on your blog regularly. <br />
<br />
To see how you're doing with your efforts, spend some time every month <a href="http://misterfong.com/how-to-check-backlinks">checking your backlinks</a> using services like Google Webmaster Tools or <a href="http://majesticseo.com/">Majestic SEO</a>. That way you can see if what you are doing is working or not.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Concluding Words</h4>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Basically, what you’re aiming for is for Google and other
search engines to take notice. Once they do, they will start ranking you better
for your keywords and traffic from these search engines will start flowing in.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
It is unrealistic, however, to expect any miracles
immediately. But if you’re updating your blogs with fresh content, and
establishing a network of quality backlinks, organic visitors will soon start
flowing in. It might not be a very large amount of visitors in the beginning,
but at least you’ll know you’re headed in the right direction.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
Lastly, the purpose of all this is to be ranked on the first
page of the SERP, or as close to it. It is a well-established fact that
visitors rarely go beyond the first page when the look something up in a search
engine (according to a statistic, 80% of search engine visitors never go beyond
the first page!), therefore it is important to be able to rank as high up the
SERP as possible for your keywords. Aim for that first page!<br />
